Jasprit Bumrah:The best in the World

Opening the bowling,  burst in the middle overs, and bowling at the death these things have never been the problem  for Jasprit Bumrah.
With just 3 years in International cricket he has made a huge reputation for himself. In IPL 2015 when he first came in to the scene with the Mumbai Indian’s colors under Rohit Sharma’s Captaincy, who would’ve thought this guy will spear head Indian bowling attack in such a short time.

Jasprit Bumrah was the highest wicket taker for India in CWC 2019

Short  Run-up, awkward action, stiff hands something that is not too familiar with the history of fast bowling. His action is unique and even though with that short run-up he can generate pace , surreal pace.
Every arsenal in the book the back of the length ball, the bouncer, the slower one, the contemporary Yorker, the slower Yorker. Certainly Bumrah has become the most potent go-to bowler in Virat Kohli's arsenal.

It’s amazing how a bowler can consistently hit the same lengths with his toe crushing Yorkers. And now with the two new balls reverse swing has got out of the equation as far as limited overs are concerned. Certainly India doesn’t associate with the deepest history of fast bowling but Jasprit Bumrah has inspired and raised the bar for India’s fast bowling for sure. Though he has that raw pace and can hurry batsman at will, he still has a calm head over his shoulders making his thought process clear and simple as he operates in the most important stages of the game.

5 years ago the Indian fast bowling was limited to a few options, today it has the ranks of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar with most of them clocking 145 clicks regularly. The U-19 world cup held last year saw some Indian fast bowlers putting up amazing performances. The BCCI and management needs to be credited for the fast bowling setup in the country.
Former New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori said the "this Indian speedster is bowling exceedingly well in the ongoing World Cup and is "basically unplayable at this stage".

Jasprit Bumrah has become the second fastest Indian to take 100 wickets in ODI cricket. He is just one match behind the Md. Shami who claimed 100 wickets in the 56 matches.

“When I met ‘Boom’ for the first time in 2013, he was a young kid. He had pace, but the only thing lacking was accuracy. But he was always willing to learn and was extremely committed to the game. He soon realized that in T20s, only skilful players can survive. He learned everything quickly — be it the slower ball, in-swinger or out-swinger. He has that confidence and that’s why he is No. 1 now,” Malinga was quoted

“I don’t think he has any pressure. That’s why he can deliver six yorkers and one slow ball at ease. I hope in the next one year he improves on how to analyse a game. Then, nobody can beat him. Trust me on that,” Malinga further added.
