It’s also a world record 11th consecutive home series win for India. It was a truly combined bowling performance by the side as all the bowlers chipped in with wickets.

The Indian juggernaut continued to roll as the hosts humiliated South Africa by an innings and 137 runs in the second Test to clinch the three-match series on Sunday.
The comprehensive victory, coming on the fourth day, has consolidated India's top position in the ICC World Test Championship. India now have 200 points in their account, Virat Kohli leading the side for the 50th time in Test cricket, now has the record 13 Test series win by an Indian Captain.
Following on, South Africa were all out for 189 in their second innings in the final session of day four. India scored a mammoth 601 for five in their first innings with skipper Virat Kohli leading the side with a majestic double hundred.

- Kohli's 9 man of the match awards in Test cricket is fourth in the list for Indians, after Sachin Tendulkar (14), Rahul Dravid (11) and Anil Kumble (10).
- Mayank Agarwal becomes only the second Indian opener to hit centuries in back-to-back Test matches against South Africa, after Virender Sehwag in 2010.
- South Africa's first innings defeat since losing by an innings and 57 runs against India in Kolkata in 2010.
