Mumbai: The most talked about issue in Indian Cricket right now, MS Dhoni's future? Dhoni has been out of action ever since India's ouster out from the ICC World Cup by New Zealand in the semi-finals. He served in the Indian army and there's a suspense about his future.
Besides Dhoni, The Asia XI might feature the likes Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Ravindra Jadeja.
Dhoni announced that he was taking a break from international cricket, leaving India an opportunity to test young wicketkeepers such as Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson.
While Dhoni has not yet returned from this break, Indian selectors remain vague on Dhoni's future in internationals, fans may yet see "Captain Cool" play on the international stage in the near future.
Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have scheduled to organise two special T20I matches between Asia XI and World XI, in the birth centenary celebration of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founder of Bangladesh. Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (Dhaka) will host these matches on 18th and 21st March 2020.
Also BCB are in touch with BCCI and other cricket boards of the Asian region to allow their players to be part of these two games,” BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury" quoted.
Besides Dhoni, The Asia XI might feature the likes Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Ravindra Jadeja.
However, there's a linear posibility to see any top Indian players in action during this special T20I series, especially in the first T20I. Because on the same date (18th March 2020) of the first T20I between Asia XI and World XI, India have the schedule to play against South Africa in Kolkata which will be the third and final ODI of the series.
It will be seen if MS Dhoni gives a nod to the event.
